"Red Star" is a name of the famous modelling agency from Russia. But it's also the name of the ex-famous Latvian machinery, which in Latvian sounds as
"Sarkanā Zvaigzne". In the USSR times, this factory was developing mopeds and little motorcycles, which were very popular on the local market, because of their productivity, simplicity and low costs.
Unfortunately, when USSR was split, the factory was closed, and later purchased for cents by the businessman from Italia,
Ernesto Preatoni, which also owns the Domina shopping center in Riga. Mr. Preatoni's creative powers do not go further than building a shopping center, and with "Sarkanā Zvaigzne", he also has plans to re-construct it to something not meaningful, and definitely it's not going to be a factory anymore.
However these days, on the ruins of this factory, there often happen photo sessions with Latvian girls
Just recently an author of the
grigorij.lv website took some shots of another shots being taken on the industrial background.
As you can see from the pictures, even if a Latvian girl looks like a drunk slut, it's still beautiful
specially regarding the art walls behind her.
