I think when visiting Riga and having a free time, specially if it's Summer Time, you definitely should visit Riga Zoo.

Hi,

I want to visit the Riga Zoo and I don't know how to go there. I think I will start from Riga central. And I want to commute, like using bus or train to go there.

Use Tram #11.

Direction to Mežaparks from Kr.Barona street or Latvian University in opposite to Stockmann - follow about 30 minutes to the final stop.

It depends on what you consider by "worth".
Of course, it's worth if you like zoos in each zoo of any city you experience something new.
