maybe my messages didnt deserve the attention because it was very small, i didnt write a newspaper writing my entire life, i just stoped by to introduce my self and say hello. maybe is the cuban side of me that they dont like

by the way my purpose in visiting Latvia is not sex, i like traveling and visiting other countries especially eastern europe, if i wanted to have sex i would go to a closer place from miami, like cuba, panama, and the dominican republic. but i dont need too i am a very good looking 26 male and i do not have problem at all in finding sex partners.

I think the questions posted by wombat (and others) were clear, straightforward, and most important, pertinent.
Pertinent because if you are new in the forum and you find information which is unclear or potentially misleading, then you are quire right to ask clarification.
And even as dumb it might seem the question (or any other question) it deserves a polite answer.

I have browsed the forum and the matter has not been clearly addressed, although it has been the cause of many reactions: from sarcastic and humorous comments (at the best) up to hasty negative attacks.
So far what I have gathered from different answers is this:
1. This is not a dating site, but a place to promote the exchange of information about the experience of visiting Riga, including (as the website name suggest), meeting and socializing with Latvian girls.
2. However creating profiles is open to everybody with all sorts of intentions. The administration claims they do their best to keep clean the forum from illegal or unsuitable profiles according with the forum's rules. However they can't guarantee it’s 100% free of scams.
3. Despite this explanation, it is not clear what is its ultimate purpose - and who are the direct beneficiaries - from all this nice, inviting but strangely short and mute profiles:
a. The forum's owners as the traffic and the number of users increase attracted by these beautiful images?
b. Scammers who attract unaware bystanders to the mail-order-bride trap?
c. People in the sex business targeting the sex tourist market?
d. Regular individual in the social network game? despite not being a dating site.
e. All of the above???
f. None of the above???

All I know is I don't know.

Creating this website we were intended to create a positive image about Latvia, and use girls powers for that. Unfortunately when the business meet hobby, business takes the first place, and having not enough time for this hobby now, we are not always happy with promotion of our main goal, that's why it may cause questions like yours. Promotion is our next step as we see how things will go without it at first. By now it's just a hobby project. Yet expensive hobby we must say.

But definitely, this website is not about scam, sex business and other criminal things. If you suspect some member of this forum is sending messages like this, just report us, we have enough tools of fighting scam.

Dear Admin, it would be very useful and reassuring if you had a filter that shows if a profile has been active in the last 12 months. Most of the profile registrations date back to 2007-2008 and it may be the only time they logged in to this site. So we may be looking at people who are not there anymore.

If you didn't get it, the purpose of this website are not contacting profiles. Forums is the thing NOT about establishing relationship. So nothing related to sorting out the profiles, by any criteria, is available by this purpose.

The only way to show up is to post a useful message on forums. If you'll get noticed, you have a chance to be contacted.

Else we don't see much sense in "hello how are you messages" which are MOSTLY received by any girl on this site, as following from their reports, with a tension to fuck. This is silly, and this only shows the silly nature of all people "browsing profiles"...

BTW, do you seriously think, that girls we possibly have here, all are just about finding a foreign partner? Are you crazy? A well-looking, good-dressed, sexy, young girl doesn't need to be registered online to find a partner. Specially a partner, which is not able to find a girl anywhere except on such online sites! Think about that... and you'll answer most of your questions.
