The Date Site That Was Not...

Being open about Sex and Sex needs is a prime quality. This has nothing to do with sleaziness. With my limited experience, I can say there is a North - South variation, as follows: the further you go South (geographically speaking...) the less possible it becomes to have a casual relationship. Women, in these areas, are, well, a prize, fundamentally a commodity. People don´t say that openly of course, but they are. In Southern Italy, in the Balkans, in all those places it is most unwell received to approach a girl like this, openly. You are supposed to organize discreet enquiries about her, ahem, status. That is the South. In the North, then, there is supposedly more freedom. Latvia, for these purposes, is culturally North, more akin to Norway than to Russia. Would it not be nice to have here a forum where partners in need can meet each other ? But that would make it a Date Site, right...?

I think, there are already quite a lot of such sites, where everybody could find what s/he's looking for, or not.

Why to create another one?

In opposite, there are tons of chatting-based sites with no obvious sense. And almost no sites with serious, "adult" insider's opinion. Don't you agree that all those "web-based-meeting-dating-chatting" sites are not about something serious? They are mostly for kids. Doesn't depend if you are an aged-kid or a kid in your soul. They are just for killing time and not finding answers to your questions.

Kid in my soul, yes. That´s what I hope I am. I agree there are tons of dating sites. Sites where people basically want to make money off the user. There aren´t many casual meeting / encounter sites where people go to find a partner, possibly a sexual partner, without making a fuss out of it. Expensive schemes abound with organised get-together parties and package tours with "three guaranteed meetings", and stuff like that. Get a 5% reduction on fresh flowers on the birthday of your "princess"...

Hey guys, since recent times I am forced to consider Internet as a toy, too
Here nothing serious could happen. I've met all of my best friends and girlfriends offline.
Most of impressive events in my life were tend to happen WITHOUT Internet's help.
Internet actually could make some new knowledge to arrive, which may impact your life in the future. This may be good knowledge, but most of all, this is bad knowledge.

So, about dating sites.
Do you really know whom you communicate to?
How would you consider a person real?
Just by his/her picture?

You can't consider anybody real. Sometimes I feel that on the backside of the dating site there could be just a robot answering my replies or giving new questions.

Hey man, you are right! It's all just about money.
But on this site, we are up to make a truly new knowledge with no money involved.
It's obvious now that 95% of visitors are coming here to look for a quick partner, sex, post spam or scam.
But that's truly makes my experience of getting a new knowledge through such a pervert way of reading and posting!

...so if Yuta allows, perhaps we could turn this into a part-time not-for-profit date site. For this a couple of minor changes might be necessary. 1) A device that allows to see when a member has last been seen online, so as to set aside those who have never since their registration done anything on the site: 2) Some limited allowance for messages without having to post first, because posting, especially quality posting, depends on level of ideas and energy on that day, right? Otherwise I think this is a great site. Still wondering though, why there don´t seem to be recent registrations, most of them are 2007 / 2008 and, well, if I may embarrass myself here, my last 10 or so messages went unanswered, which makes me think these individuals perhaps are not active anymore. And that would be no 3), a device that allows to see if messages have been read...

This website provides lots of useful information and truly lots of astonishing pictures to see what's happening in Latvia on the real side. I appreciate for this information. I don't look for girls just found this site searching for some topics in Latvia and 'm wondering why people try to get something from the authors. Even without getting something, here is a nice place to watch and read for spending time in some other place than a facebook.

I have to admit that I am looking for a female partner, and if I were not, then at the latest when I open the site and see all these great looking women my brain, such as it is, switches off... wasn´t so far conscious of being oversexed or anything, but this... perhaps one day it will be OK to admit it too

I really think this is an interesting forum, i have learnt much about Latvia from this forum.
