I will be coming to Riga next May. I will be scouting locations for a feature film, part of which will be shot in Latvia. I need a contact person to advise me on numerous topics. Thank you for your reply. I was in Riga ten years ago. Stayed at the Konventa Seta. Unforgettable experience. So I wrote a script about a legendary Latvian man who comes to American on a mission of vengeance. It is called "DOOM'S DAY". Because part of the movie will be shot in and around Riga, I need to connect with a government official on matters of film production, permits and costs, environmental protection laws, police and community cooperation. Are there film support services, available camera and grip packages for rent, technical and talent based support, etc.?

I need to find a good hotel, be warned about the places to avoid, know where the city's signature sights are, etc.

I have tried to place an ad in the Baltic Times but they must be having problems. Because of suspicions concerning sex, it would probably be best that I hire a man, I would think. I remember Latvian men as being serious and focused and fearless.

Any suggestions? I won't arrive until May, 2010
