I intend to stay in a hotel in Riga. Where can I find rates and what is the best hotel?

Thanks

"The best" would be called Reval Hotel.

However it really depends on what exactly would do you mean under "the best". You definitely can't get the best for the price of 20-30 EUR per night, so as usual, as more money you pay, as better it will be.

Somebody on our forums has also mentioned a few hotels near the central station, if you look for the cheap and effective stuff.

I have been in Reval Hotel and it is the best but expensive (about 150 lats), there are two Reval Hotels and they are close to each other and I am talking about the one they call it Reval city, very high bulding and there is the best night club just adjacent to it. I went to Radison SAS but it is not good enough

I lived in the Reval Hotel Latvia (the big one you mentioned) for one month but it is not worth the money. Voodoo club is mostly empty or filled with professional women and the Skybar on top is mostly filled with business people which also attracts professional women.
breakfast is really good and the hair dresssers are also. But in total it is not worth to pay that much if you want to see the people and the landscapes and buildings.

You may check my answer in another thread regarding walking in Riga.

Your question needs a preciseness, because it's very wide. As soon as you get to Latvia, the things become more sharp.

Thank you for all your answers. I've never visited Latvia and my intention was to obtain feedback from people who already visited it and particularly Riga. By best, I mean 4 or 5 stars hotel. 4 or 5 stars hotel may not all provide the same service and this is why I needed feedback from people who experienced life in Riga and who are aware of those little things you learn when you only visit a country. Anybody knows if there are good apartments to rent between 2 and 4 weeks? Everybody, thanks for your advice. Any other suggestion will be welcome.

If you need an apartment for about a month, it's better to rent a flat. It will be much cheaper than a hotel and more safe. There is a lot of offers regarding center of Riga, the Old Riga etc. The most cheaper apartment you could rent for a month is about 300 EUR incl. everything. But it will be not 4 stars of course

It's the center of Riga. The Old Town!

The same importance like in many European cities.

I will be in Riga next week. Would you recommend Bergs or Radisson?

OK, looks like this is not the best place to expect quick answers I'll go for Berges and later I will share my comments.

This is just not the best place to ask what was already answered hundreds of times.

If you need to find a hotel, be more specific about that. Your budget, level of comfort, the purpose of the visit. Else your question looks stupid.
