There was an interesting question recently, regarding what is the difference mentioned on this topic's subject.

My opinion can be considered only as a subjective one, like anyone's opinion on these forums; however regarding my own experience, there difference between Russian girls living / born in Latvia, and "pure" Latvian girls is obvious, despite they form the "common" look of the Latvian women population in general.

Most of the prostitutes or girls involved in scam business belong to Russian girls. There is also a lot of similarities between Russian girls, let's say, living in Riga and Moscow, many of them wearing the same dress, having the same tastes in fashion, music, pop culture etc. Actually, Russians living in Latvia are not gifted by government, that's why they may feel there is no real "native land" for them here.

"Pure" Latvian girls belong to some kind of alternative thinking, they have another level of education and the feeling of life, specially family life. They do not like foreigners, and may be only girls from the Latvian districts are going to the capital to work for prostitute or striptease dancer.

I must say Russian girls in some cases may look more pretty than Latvians, that way their "slavic" roots come in place. Latvian roots go to Germans and Scandinavians.

I think you are biased. How do you make the distinction between them?

Well, first of all, this distinction appears straight on face Those girls with Slavic roots have Slavic faces; Latvians are more similar to Scandinavians...

Well, it's the same trick as you could recognize Japanese from Chinese

Guys, for you to know there are many cultures presented in Latvia. Let's list Belarussian, Polish, Gipsy girls then besides Latvian and Russian ones. By "latvian girls" I would mean girls living in Latvia and that way building a women layer here, and they all are inheriting from each other. There are also a lot of "mixed" families, so what nationality could we consider the girl living here?

In that case Latvia is the same multi-cultural country like any other country in Europe. Let's take UK - are you sure only British 're living there? Or do you mean France is for French only? This "national" question is a big problem in Latvia from the point of all European experts...

What do you actually mean?

IF you mean a lot of people coming from Russia to Latvia, it's the same amount like anywhere in the world, may be even less -) All Russians are rich and generous tourists, so it's very sad our government has a conflict with Russia... in all times, Russia was the main tourists source in Latvia, now it's not because of visas...

However I must mention, a lot of "root Russians" are living in Latvia too, basically about 30-40%. The question in this topic was exactly about it, because when you meet a girl in Latvia, you never know is she Latvian or Russian (still, if you live here for a long time, it's possible to determine...)

The differnce between russian girls living in Latvia and latvian girls is both in appearance and in character/attitudes; russian girls are "easy" in almost all aspects but at the same time they have lower value and short term "value". Latvian girls........i dont know much and that

I guess the main "conflict" in opinions here is that a Russian girl living in Latvia, is many cases may be similar to a "pure" Latvian girl. Crossed cultures visibly affect both Latvians and Russians here, so it's obvious Russians in Latvia differ from Russians in Russia
