Latvian traditional dress for kids

Hi,

I am here in Latvia for work/training purposes and I just want to say that I love Latvia, beautiful and nice people.

I just want to ask where can I buy some pre-made Latvian traditional dress for kids or little girl. Because my little daughter will having a United Nation parade next month, so probably she will where that dress.

There are actually a lot of specific stores... but you may visit big supermarkets and trading centers as well. Like for example, "Spice" (Lielirbes str. 29), "Origo" or "Stockmann" (they're in the center of the city, near Central Station), Olimpia ( (Azenes str. 5, it's 10 minutes by bus from the center).

Here are also mentioned some dedicated online stores; the page is in Russian, but you may click links and try to find the shop which sells in English, despite I doubt you would find one So for foreigner it's better just to visit those bigger stores.

Plomb, you forgot to mention the ROOT shop, it'ss called "Bērnu Pasaule" which means "Kids World", it's located on Barona and Matisa streets crossing in Riga. There are 3 floors for kids, dress too. Look up in Google and you'll find the map. If you walk 2 squares by Matisa street to the Miera street direction, and then 10-15 mins by Miera street, you will find the Maternity Ward, and there are also a lot of little kids shops located on this street.

jajayins, well, if you look for something traditional for kids, I am not sure it's an easy thing to find. We have a lot of worldwide "branding" clothes, but it's not easy to find an authentic Latvian one. Anyway, have a try and let us know where exactly you will get luck

I guess, ordering them via Internet, from Latvia directly (example), is the most proper way. In UK you will pay at least the triple price.
