The protocol of dating a Latvian girl living with parents

Hi All, This may sound lame but I've just been asked out on a date by a lovely Latvian girl, she is quite a bit younger than me and is a single mum, the baby is 10 months old (the father ran off), that doesn't matter to me, I really like her! We have flirted for a couple of weeks now, I was surprised when she asked me out but hey!
She lives with her mother and brother, do I ask the Mother or Brother (as the man of the house) for permission to go on a date with her! I want to do it right as I think it could go some where, (we get on really well)! What's the protocol? Help!
