Nigerian Community in Latvia

I'm Joseph by name. A Nigerian by nationality.

I'm a member of the Lagos City Choral.

Lagos City Choral will be participating in the 8th World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia from 9th to 19th of July.

I will like to confirm if you currently reside in Latvia.

Is there any nigerian community in Latvia?

Hey Joseph, and welcome to Latvia. I never heard there could be kind of Nigerian Community in Latvia available. By far, the most known person from this area for me is "The Notorious" Ayo Benes ;) He's the most controversial revolutionary I ever heard about.

When walking the streets, sometimes I see black-skinned people, but possibly, almost everyone knows them by face. They are truly not a lot, as Latvia has no proper weather conditions or social ground for them. Not sure if you need to be prepared to catch lots of eyes on yourself while walking the streets in Riga, but obviously, you will be remarkable in crowd

Where in Riga this event will take place? Is it possible to visit by everyone, or by invitations only?

hi yuta, what do u think of advanced education in Latvia? Riga Industrial University and Latvia University?^_^

All I know by the moment is that's expensive and provided in Latvian language only
Also, Latvia is experiencing decrease in students last time. This year it's planned 12% of students decrease comparing to the previous year.

I may be too late, but you may visit singriga.lv there is World Choir Games program listed and all events, possible to switch to English. Don't miss the final concert in Mezha-park this Sunday, i.e. July 13th! Lucky date and lucky event, I suppose...

Tickets are NOT free, from 10 to 50 EUR. Free transport will be present from Mezha-park until 2 A.M., as told by Mr.Ushakovs, the council of Riga.
