Hatred which is faced by foreigner students

first of all i appriciate this congragational site despite this i would like to fetch some information bcoz its auspicious and pre-requisite for me, so requesting to all plz dont take it as conversational post just help me for what i became curious." Is Latvian people are not familiar with foreign students ? is that so Reply me ASAP , A big thanks in advance who come forward, I guess Yuta will be the 1st one to make it happen

I'm not sure what do you mean by the level of "familiarity"? The most part of Latvian people now are mostly very young to middle-aged, and then pensioners. I mean, a very big part of people aged 30-45 left Latvia to work/live in Europe or other countries, and now here's kind of demographic hole, which supposes people who's left are not very loyal to foreigners, in general...

You know what ? I was completely agreed to take admission In RTU but in earlier days i just read some articles which influenced me to take aback my decision coz the people of Latvia doesn't support Foreigner students , Although a Abroad educatee leaves everythig behind of their higher education and its quite aweful to know that people among you are going to dedicates your most valuable years of your life doesn't help you in anyway. despite this You people should support foreigner students because they imparts you a good fortunes as a national growth..Moreover I would like to ask a personal view from You Obviously, Should I take Admission in RTU or not ? If yes then why any prerequisite articles which help me to Inveigh my decision ? Thankig You ur appreciable time

By Appellation of "Familiarity" its quite a easier way to response someone which is not familiar with you , your country, your culture, your lifestyle it could be innumerous ways, In Addition , its a hope which a oversease learner expected by their respective country in spite of these valuable repertoire its also concerned with individual behaviour of a person to a Foreiger students... Moreover I am highly obliged that you gave ur precious time which is counted by me and all readers of this post...

May be. But in Latvia, there's another sociological situation. Latvians consider they were occupied by USSR army and people since the WWII, so they were under the foreign pressure for about 45 years. And that was about just regular white people, Caucasians, mostly Russians, which look very similar to Latvian and affected Latvian culture, social life and infrastructure these years a lot.

Now when other races people (black/asians) start to come to Latvia (slowly but surely), this produces mostly a negative reaction. Consider that Latvia is under the regulation of pure Latvians only for about 25 recent years. It doesn't mean a lot that Latvia is part of EU or NATO. For 25 years, only ONE new generation has grown, and most of this generation already migrated from Latvia forever. Those who left are "genetically coded" to hate foreigners.

And the older people who's stayed could not change their perception of things for 25 years.
They are too old for that.

Sad but true - following the last news, I could consider most of foreigners do not consider Latvia as a loyal country to them; obviously including you. That's a fact.

My personal opinion, actually, is that Latvia is very poor country and it's poor exactly because people do not trust to each other. There's no trust in this land.

Education level is also relatively low. SO I'm not sure why did you choose RTU... it truly depends on why do you need this all. RTU is more up to technical specialties, I'm note sure what kind of specialty would you like to study?

What kind of Latvian people do you suppose "familiar" with foreign students? Teachers? Lecturers? It doesn't matter for them whom to teach, only money matters like everywhere in this world. As about the other students, they do not care as well. Who are you? Black? White? Yellow? Green? It doesn't matter. They care about their diplomas and ratings, that's all.

It only depends on you if you find friendship or relationship in the students area where you would study and live. People prefer to make relationships with the smart people. If you are smart, you will find friends anywhere. If you are not, don't consider the world as the problem.
