However,I think that if I want to find a Chinese girlmate, absoutly I would find her somewhere such as library and classroom, ect EXCEPT club.Club Asian girls are not decent in our mind.In addition,I hope that she is a university student whose major is engineering, economy or foreign language.I think the way I date her may be to do homework together, watching movies or have a walk for some time.Actually,it's weird to see a decent Asian girl smoking and dancing crazy.Oh!At that time, she should be called "chick".

As to Chinese boys,I think those decent boys who are good at study would be more preferred.

In the opposite side,if I want to date a western girl,I don't know why but I feel it's very natural to do crazy things.Very weird....

I know Bro has come to some clubs in Shanghai, while unfortunally I have to tell him the fact that they are just chicks and none of decent university guys want to even touch them.

Logically speaking, nowadays blacks live on the lowest level of the world. You must know that blacks have been humiliated and slavened by Europeans for a long time--about 500 years at least, while during the 500 years, what have blacks done??

Have blacks done somthing heroic such as Pearl Habour which is enough to shock and terrify Europeans as a great revenge?Never,I think.Even now, black nations in Africa still don't strive to develope and blacks still live in a agricultural style.I can conclude that blacks don't know how "dignity" and "huniliation" are spelled? Then I am not surprised what's happening in Africa know.

Let's take a look at European(or American)Africans now, what do they do everyday? They still live at the bottom of the society and only know recreation.Yeah! The only use of blacks is to serve as manpower and labour when they are needed, espeicially for war, such as WW1.

If blacks strive to develop in a crazy way and in future dare do something like Pearl Habour;Even though they lose at that time,I would still respect them I think.

In addition,if blacks don't strive,we will colonize them the same way as Europeans did in future.

World have given blacks many opportunities but they have never seized them.Losers deserve humiliation and should kneel down before winners waiting for being executed.Exactly speaking, blacks are losers but samurais,so I don't like them.

Sorry for posting an offtopic question... I am just too far away from politics and racism

Wang, a simple question: is it simple to learn a Chinese language? Seeing Chinese hieroglyphs, my head turns over. I can't even imagine how to read or understand this language. But I was informed that Chinese is actually very simple. The big nation like China could not hold a "difficult" language.

Your opinion on that? Is that difficult?

Strictly speaking, the learning of Chinese language could be divided into several steps.
Chinese language is largely different from Germanic language, which is made up of many hieroglyphs. So the first step is to learn how to draw these hieroglyphs and its prouniciation.I remember that when I was in the Chinese lesson of my primary school, the teacher often draw differnet hieroglyphs on the blackboard and let us copy and remember, while I have to admit that it's natural to be confused when first exposed to those hieroglyphs.

In Chinese language, the single character always cannot describe one entity.Usually the composition of several characters that is equal to word in English can express something. So,when you laern how to draw characters,at the same time it's better to learn some composition of different characters--namely the "word"or "vocabulary".

In addition, the grammar is also very important. As far as I know,I don't think the Chinese language grammar is not that different from your mother tongue. If you could overcome this obstable,I think you can conduct some official conversation, read some difficult articles and have enough foundation to continue learning.

The last step is the longest;you have to improve your vocabularies, exercise the ability of listening, reading by differnet kind of exercises, then you can succeed.

My purpose of learning English is to command the ability of reading technical and Maths books and conduct official academic meeting in English but to be that native. This is to say, always the purpose of learinging one language decides the way your learn it which is totally depends on you.

When it comes to the difficulty of learning Chinese languiage,my opinion is as follows.
The process of learning a foreign language which is not your mother tongue is always not that easy, and you would find it's a little labor-consuming to really understand it.I dare say this because I have learnt English for several years, but I am not that familiar with it.
However,if you could find a native environment and will to spend some time to train,I think you could make a large progress.

http://pinyin.info/readings/texts/moser.html This link may be helpful to you.

To sum up,the world of Chinese language and culture is very wonderful. Before 14 years old,I hold great interest in Ancient Chinese language and chinese history. However, gradually the importance of science and engeering seems more important to me,so that's why I chose computer engineering as my major 2 years ago.
If you have some questions, you could email me.Maybe I could help you with your homework.

I never said club girls would be family-oriented, but you must be right... Night club is a great place for one night, but not for the whole life. Like I wrote earlier, try to find a hobby for yourself, which would allow to meet a "proper" girls... dancing studio or gym... up to you.

wang:

It's strange that you rate people from the military point of view only. I'm considering Pearl Habour not an achievement at all. War is bad. Those who want war, make it for money. Money produces wars. It's an evil inside of us to call a bloody event an achievement... it's not.

wang:

Common, your English is perfect - specially comparing to those other "Asian" guys writing on this forum, which obviously often prefer to use auto-translators and do not know English at all

And thanks for your advices. They seem interesting for me, too, as studying Chinese (or may be Japanese...) were always exciting questions for me, too

In my opinion, still, as soon as you know the basics of the language, further learning is simple: read books on this language (with vocabulary / notebook on hand); watch movies on this language, communicate via Internet. And you can learn any language quickly then, the major requirements are time and wish...

BTW, regarding Chinese - I know there are different "modes" of this language, i.e. Traditional, Simplified... how they differ and what to choose to study at best? I.e. if I study Simplified, will I be able to communicate with all Chinese people, or just part of them?...

Girls, would you favour an engineering boy?I mean the boy who is good at Maths and some specific kinds of engineering subjects. Is this kind of boy regarded as cool in Girls' eyes?

Really curious about it....

To be more attracted,I read those kind of books and do exercises IN ENGLISH everyday I believe by which way I could enhance my academic level and gain girls' love.

As far as I know,Simplified Chinese is only used in Mainland China, while Taiwan,Macau and Hongkong take Traditional Chinese as their language. The difference of Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese lies in its shape but its prounication. Both Simp-Chinese and Tra-Chinese enjoy the same system of prounication, which means if you learn one of them, you could communicate with all Chinese people, although I think it's taken for granted that they should command English well(same for Latvians also,I think)Now list some examples:
Traditional:線性代數;while simplified:线性代数 Not that different, right? Some characters in Sim and Tra are just the same.As a natvie Chinese,I could read both.

Exactly right! You could read technical books based on your major in the foreign language you are learning.I am reading 'Linear Algebra' in English, very interesting, right?

As to watch movies in the language you're learning, the first premise I think is that you are interested in these kind of movies. To be frank,I am not that interested in American TV series and movies. However,I tend to listen to some academic lecture via Internet if I would.

In addition, now I only have one apartment which is evaluted as 59150Euros approximately(in the surburb ).If I want to go to Latvia,my plan is to earn enough money to buy two apartments in Latvia before coming here(one is for rented, and another is reserved for me).
Could you tell me the average price of Latvian apartment?I really find it hard to get information about this via Internet. In addition,I think girls prefer clever landlord, haha!I would strive to be.After all, coming here without two apartments is really stupid.

Conversly,it's more exhilarating to be landlord in Shanghai. The average price of apartments in Shanghai is 2602Euros per square meter. In the center of Shanghai,it would amount to 3300Euros per square meter at least.Girls would preper landlord in Shanghai,I think. If they would,I would strive to be.

If you would ask the same question 30-40 years ago, any girls would laugh on you. I mean, USSR-based girl but even nowadays... I suppose *root* Latvian girls would never prefer an engineering boy. You see, it's a question of a public relation. Nowadays all young girls seeing boys/men taking part in finance, office work, note they live much better than engineers. Everybody related to money, lives better. For how long period it should last? I think, it would be very short. Will then people of creative thinking and abilities be on top of most paid jobs? I doubt. In all times, engineers were people moving the society higher. But they also were always the poorest

It's not about US or UK, English is used in India, don't you remember? If you didn't know about Jiddu Krishnamurti, his lectures are in English... English is also the second official language in India! Also, you may not be right about Hollywood. Besides of purely entertaining and fun movies, they also create lots of serious interesting stuff... also I always enjoy BBC movies. Did you see "Inside the Human Body" series of BBC? It's astonishing. You can learn lots of things from documentaries; top list is on topdocumentaryfilms.com...

I think it's not about "increasing" nations, if you mean that... it's about business and the possibility to find your own place on Earth. China seems the most promising country in the aspect of business, unrehearsed territory. And those people able to connect West and East may be the winners... it's not about becoming chinese, you know
